Shipping fresh flowers can seem like a daunting task but here at OOTB we want to make your life easier and things to go smoothly for you. I’m going to take you through a step by step guide how to ensure all of the above.

• Carefully cut the end off the stems at an angle. The purpose of this is to give them a good drink of water for a few hours before.

• Avoid touching the flower petals as much as possible to prevent bruising (love spots) at the final stages.

• Dampen some kitchen roll/ paper towels and wrap this around the bottom of the stems (6-7) try not to compress them together.

• Try to keep your flower heads (petals) dry only dampen the stems.

• Once the kitchen roll is on the stems cover this with zip lock bag or foil to ensure the water do not drip during transit and it will keep it in place.

• Now place your wrapped bouquet in a sturdy box place dry kitchen roll or packing paper at the bottom and stand bouquet in an upright position. Fill any negative/ empty space with dry kitchen roll/ packing paper so that the flowers don’t move around in transit. it’s important to let that dry kitchen roll absorb any extra liquids.

• Please DO NOT wrap any flowers in plastic as this causes instant rot and your flower will start to wilt straight away.

• Make sure you flowers are label with your name, Instagram handle & contact number and other important information we may need.
